TRANSITION TO DUTY was written by our own, Leo “Doc” Flory (68-69). He was a medic with our company during 68-69 in Vietnam.
His book is great and it is recommended reading! It’s a true story detailing a combat medic’s tour in Viet Nam with Bravo
Company, 2nd Battalion, 501st Infantry, 101st Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles). Author Leo Flory takes the reader on his
personal journey from his small Michigan hometown to the rice paddies of the A Shau Valley in Viet Nam and back. His journeys
chronicle the daily life of both himself and the gallant men of Company B, 2nd Battalion, 501st Infantry. For more information

B-2/501st (101st ABN Div) 67-72 RVN is on FACEBOOK! This is a great tool as an extension of our website
in order for us to communicate with each other, share photos and stories, links, current events in our lives, etc. This is a CLOSED group, which means
it is ONLY for those who served with this unit in Vietnam some time during 67-72 AND their family members. To join,
CLICK HERE. We already have many members and there are scores of photos and a couple of videos
that you will ONLY
see on our Facebook page. You can easily add your own photos. There are members there who are family of deceased members that you served with who would really value
your memories of their
loved ones. You are encouraged to join so you don’t miss out on a thing! You don’t have to “say” anything if you don’t want to. You can just be a “fly on the
wall” and observe all the different dialogues that are taking place. Just give it a try and if you don’t like it, you can always drop out at any time. SEE YOU THERE!
B-2/501st (101st ABN Div) 67-72 RVN WIVES and SIGNIFICANT OTHERS has their own FACEBOOK group, at the suggestion of Ginny Hiller.
It too is a CLOSED GROUP only for spouses and significant others of B-2/501st troopers, so we can feel comfortable sharing conversations as a private group. A lot of us
have developed a bond from attending reunions together and this will help us maintain that bond. CLICK HERE to join.

THE AIRBORNE CREED
I am an AIRBORNE trooper! A paratrooper!
I jump by parachute from any plane in flight. I volunteered to do it,
knowing well the hazards of my choice.
I serve in a mighty AIRBORNE force--famed for deeds in war--
renowned for readiness in peace.
It is my pledge to uphold its honor and prestige
in all I am--in all I do.
I am an elite trooper--a sky trooper--a shock trooper--
a spearhead trooper. I blaze the way to far-flung goals--
behind, before, above the foe's front lines.
I know that I may have to fight without support for days on end.
to do
my part in any AIRBORNE task.
I am self-reliant and unafraid.
I shoot true and march fast
and far.
I fight hard and excel in every art and artifice of war.
I never fail a fellow trooper.
I cherish as a sacred trust the lives of individuals with whom I serve.
Leaders have
my fullest loyalty, and those I lead never find me lacking.
I have pride in the AIRBORNE! I never let it down!
In peace, I do not shrink the dullest of duty,
nor protest the toughest training.
My weapons and equipment are always
combat ready.
I am neat of dress--military in courtesy--proper in conduct and behavior.
In battle, I fear no foe's ability,
nor underestimate his prowess, power and guile.
I fight him with all my might and
skill--
ever alert to evade capture or escape a trap.
I never surrender, though I be the last.
My goal in peace or war is to succeed in any mission of the day--
or die, if needs be, in the try.
I belong to a proud and glorious team--
the AIRBORNE, the Army, my Country.
I am its chosen
pride to fight where others may not go--
to serve them well until the final victory.
I am the trooper of the sky! I am my Nation's best!
In peace and war I never fail. Anywhere, anytime, in anything--
I
AM AIRBORNE!
