Don Colvin says “This photo was taken shortly after we got there in Dec 67–you can tell by the carefree demeanor and nice clean fatigues. I was in the second squad of the mortar platoon and Hughes was the squad leader for the first 5 months or so and then I became squad leader
when Hughes DEROS’ed.”
