Was seized by NVA during Tet '68 and resulted in month long battle in which thousands of NVA, ARVN, USMC, USA and civilian
were killed or wounded. Tet '68 attack was launched 31 JAN 68 at 0340 hours. Elements of 101st Airborne's 2nd Brigade
attacked from the NW, while ARVN Infantry attacked from the E and W. The ensuing battle lasted 23 days.
